Pro Sim Golf on Marley Way in Saltney’s Central Trading Estate uses the latest golf simulators to allow visitors to play the world’s top courses, enjoy fun games to improve their skills and receive expert tuition to perfect their swing.
A planning application for change of use was submitted on August 6 but was not granted before Pro Sim opened on October 18.
According to a Flintshire County Council spokesperson: “The application was received on August 6 but it was held invalid because they hadn’t submitted all the required information.
“The information has recently been received and the application was made valid on October 27 and is now currently subject to publicity and consultation.”
Pro Sim – which is also currently awaiting a decision on a second facility in Wrexham – may now have to wait until December 22 to find out if permission is granted by Flintshire County Council.
The centre is kitted out with the latest Golfzon simulators that can emulate all kinds of weather and playing conditions. There are human coaches on hand to help too and the facility has its own clubhouse where you can relax with friends.
Early reviews of Pro Sim – founded by Geraint Davies, Lucy Davies, Carwyn Davies and Sarah Edwards – have been glowing.
On Pro Sim’s Facebook page Kai Fisher wrote: “What a place to practise your game, definitely the best about by a mile and the staff are spot on, helping us understand how the sims work and very friendly, will definitely be coming back.”
Craig West added: “Cracking setup! First visit today with my family and the staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Best sim setup I’ve used.”
Pro Sim has been approached for comment.
