Even without a permanent manager in place, interesting rumours are emerging over Celtic’s transfer business.
The transfer window re-opens in January, and given how abject the campaign has been for Celtic so far, you expect there to be some movement.
One area of the pitch that seems to be faltering is the middle of the park, as the champions of Scotland have missed ample chances to buy young talent, such as Scotland’s rising star, Lennon Miller.
But it seems as though Celtic are now looking towards Rugby Park and Kilmarnock because David Watson’s name has popped up on the transfer radar.

It has been suggested that Celtic are plotting a move for Watson, with the 20-year-old’s contract at Kilmarnock expiring at the end of the campaign.
The Celtic Park faithful are all for this type of signing and feel that not enough domestic players are being signed by the club.
If Watson does sign, some have questioned who could head towards the other direction, with Reo Hatate and Paulo Bernardo’s names mentioned.
All in all, Celtic fans are liking the idea of Watson adding some much-needed bite and steel to their midfield.

@cfc1888_ just used two words: ‘No brainer.’
@bostonnative67 thinks Watson is the ‘best available’ option when it comes to Scottish talent: ‘Yep, take. From the article, it seems like there are a few Scottish boys they are monitoring, purely for the homegrown quota. Off the top of my head, he is the best available, so would be a decent signing.’

Another Celtic fan who is loving Watson’s potential arrival, as @91LisLionLow, stated: ‘A very good signing he’d be, imo.’
@Elcano6791 shared what Watson could add to Celtic’s midfield: ‘There is still time for a 20-year-old to develop and improve. He might add a bit of steel we have been lacking in midfield.’

Watson’s numbers for Kilmarnock
Watson has been a regular for Kilmarnock, and he can also play across the midfield, including in an attacking role, if need be.
The Scotland U21 international has come through the ranks at Killie and has racked up 117 games for his side, scoring 13 goals and supplying four assists.
This is how Watson has been rated by WhoScored in the Premiership this season:
