Bradford Bulls have confirmed that their top try scorer in 2025 is sticking around for another two years, after signing a new contract.

The club are well on their way to building a squad ready for Super League, having already made signings such as Jayden Nikorima and Andy Ackers, whilst also retaining the services of Zac Fulton, Waqa Blake and Ebon Scurr.

Jayden Okunbor is the latest player to put pen to paper on a new deal, with the former Hull FC man agreeing to stay at Odsal until the end of 2027.

Signing originally on loan part-way through 2024, the winger left the MKM Stadium after a difficult start to life in the top flight, but found his home at the Bulls.

Scoring 22 tries in 30 appearances, the former Canterbury Bulldogs player ended the most recent season highest on the Bulls’ try scoring charts, with the side not having any player score that many in a singular season since Kris Welham’s 29 in 2016.

Having only made eight appearances in his first stint in Super League, Okunbor is one of many Bulls players hoping to take this new chance of playing in the top division with both hands, and wafter going into next year full of confidence, there’s no reason why he can’t excel.

“Loving my rugby league again” – Bradford Bulls man opens up on new contract

Speaking to the Bulls club website, Okunbor believes that Bradford is the perfect place for him at this part of his career.

He said: “I am very excited to be staying, I think everyone knows how much I love playing for this club and I have said previously I am loving my Rugby League again.

“Everyone from the boys to the staff to the volunteers and the fans, they make it really easy for me to go out there with a smile on my face and represent this club to the best of my ability.

“I feel like I am playing some really good footy and I am really excited to be having another crack at Super League. This is a huge moment for the club and I cannot wait to be a part of it.”
