Maleha Khan, who is currently completing a PhD in rocket propulsion and also holds a pilot’s licence, spoke to nearly 200 students during a visit to the school, which is part of the West Norfolk Academies Trust.
Her visit was arranged through RAF Marham and Wing Commander Martin Williamson.
Jenny Ford, the school’s librarian, said: “He introduced Maleha to the school and she very kindly agreed to deliver a seminar and engage with the students about her education, career and experiences in the space industry.”

Ms Khan answered questions on topics such as hydrogen fuel and shared her personal journey, including the barriers she has overcome to pursue her career.
Eliza Bennell, English lead at the school, said: “Her story was so inspirational to the students — especially as a young female involved in the UK space industry and as a pilot.
“All the students and staff were captivated by her achievements. She is such a positive female role model in areas which are traditionally male-dominated.”
