Oxford Golf Club on Hill Top Road has completed part of its plans to enhance its ability to host events, private functions and meals out by cutting the ribbon on its new dining area.
The new space will seat more than 50 people, offering Sunday lunches and daytime dining for the public, plus room for private celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries.
The club has plans to further refurbish its bar area in 2026 and will add an accessible toilet.
Steve Greenwood, general manager at Oxford Golf Club, said: “These improvements represent an exciting time for our county’s club.
“Golf remains our primary objective and although we provide an unrivalled playing experience in the heart of Oxford, we recognised the space available at our disposal has huge potential to engage local people, groups and businesses.
“Our doors are open to all members of the community and completing the first phase of our clubhouse regeneration is a major step in enhancing our hospitality and catering provisions for those who we welcome through our doors.”
The club is also open 364 days a year for golf and regularly hosts charity days and competitions.
Mr Greenwood added: “We want Oxford Golf Club to be a true, multi-purpose, seven-day-a-week hub where members and visitors can play, relax and dine.
“We look forward to utilising our new space, particularly with Christmas celebrations on the horizon.”
