Netflix unveiled what really happened to a young Will Byers at the start of the series.
Stranger Things is returning for a final outing, with fans getting a sneak peek at the first five minutes of season five.
Netflix unveiled the exhilarating video on November 7, which featured numerous jump scares and disturbing moments.
The clip showed Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) during his early encounter with a Demogorgon, as he fought desperately for his life.
Unfortunately, he was unable to defend himself and fans saw it was Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) who was ultimately behind his capture.
As Vecna took control of a vulnerable Will’s body, he told the youngster the pair would do “beautiful things together”.

A tentacle was seen going inside Will’s mouth as Vecna showed the extent of his power.
Fans could not help but feel heartbroken for Will, who has been through hell and back since the series started.
They took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the first five minutes, with IFSismyjam saying: “That scene where Vecna touched Will’s face as the tentacle went down his throat was seriously unsettling.”
Stephyloowho added: “Poor baby was running for his life! That was a super intense intro to season five, but I love that they brought it right back to season one.”
Justbreathe91 shared: “Ewww tf was he putting into Will’s mouth?!”

Nastia_dream commented: “Just watched it. Damn this traumatised me. I knew Will’s time in UD was bad, but not this bad.
“Also that scene with him jumping off to another tree was one of the most beautiful scenes I’ve seen in a TV show.”

Fans will have to wait and see whether there is justice for Will before the series comes to an end.
