The first-ever Bitesize Greggs has opened in Kent.

The bakery chain’s brand new store format launched at Sevenoaks railway station on Friday (November 7).

Greggs says the smaller shop format will allow it to offer a range of products in “high-footfall, prime locations which are constrained by space”.

The new outlet, which is open from 6am to 9pm, seven days a week, has created 10 jobs.

Greggs will be opening a small number of the Bitesize stores across the country, with one set to open at the former newsagents, The Book Stall, at Dartford Railway Station, next month.

Property director at Greggs Tony Rowson said: “We’re excited to announce the launch of our Bitesize Greggs concept.

“This small but mighty new format will allow us to reach more customers on the go from compact units, whilst still offering a selection of our best-selling products.

“The rollout of Bitesize Greggs, initially on a trial basis, will support our broader estate growth plans.”
