The I’m A Celebrity contestants are set to be subjected to one of the toughest camp set-ups ever – with a host of new features that will “sap their souls.”
As well as there being no longer luxury items this year, bosses are determined to spark divides from the start. A new concept will see four celebs compete to win a Getaway car which sees them transferred to the camp and allocated the most luxurious beds ever seen.
A source said: “It’s going to cause real consternation among the others, and really put the cat among the pigeons.”
The celebs will also have to contend with more snakes than they have ever had in camp before. Exec producer Olly Nash says: “We’ve had more snakes during build-up than ever… huge great big pythons.” Some have been up to 10 foot.

Celebs are already set to do “share more of the trials” after a rule change revealed by the Mirror this week. Contestants will now no longer be able to do more than two Bushtucker trials in a row.
“More celebs will be taking part in trials than we have ever had before so we are upping the competition,” says Nash, “They are going to have to fight more and earn more. No longer can people sit in the shadows, they have to step up to the plate.”
It comes after a row last year over Dean McCullough, who was voted to do a total of seven Bushtucker Trials, two of which he ended early. Even Ant McPartlin expressed his frustration with Dean repeatedly being put up for trial, saying: “Who’s still voting for Dean, I don’t get it.”

A source said: “Celebrities all want the opportunity to take on a Bushtucker Trial and bring home stars for camp. Viewers would much prefer to see different celebrities take on the iconic Bushtucker Trials as opposed to the same person every day.”
Celebs flying Down Under include Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, YouTuber Morgan Burtwistle, known as Angry Ginge, EastEnders actress Shona McGarty comedian Ruby Wax, TV presenter Alex Scott and Jack Osbourne. They are to be joined by rapper Aitch, and presenter Vogue Williams.
Ant and Dec are returning to host the hit series, which is in its 25th year. A source close to the show said: “Producers are expected to pull out the stops to ensure the 25th series is the most memorable yet.”
