Celtic fans have been blessed to have watched some phenomenal players don their famous colours over the decades.
In recent times, Celtic have dominated on the domestic scene, and Jonny Hayes got a taste of it all during a three-year period at Parkhead.
Hayes won seven trophies at Celtic, playing alongside some top players, including some who are still going strong today.
The former winger was asked to build his ‘perfect’ Celtic player, and this is who got a mention.

One of the players whom Hayes paid the highest compliment to was Celtic captain Callum McGregor, one of the most decorated players in the Hoops’ history.
Speaking to SPFL’s social media account, when it came to ‘intelligence’, Hayes gave that tag to McGregor, and how he is ‘the most intelligent player I have ever seen.’
‘Callum McGregor,’ stated Hayes, on who is his perfect Celtic player with the ‘intelligence’ trait. ‘Probably the most intelligent player I have ever seen.
“You guys see it week in and week out. Plays right wing, left wing and left-back. All-round footballer. Callum McGregor, without a shadow of a doubt.’
