The Pakistan vs Sri Lanka three-match ODI series kicked off on November 11, with the hosts clinching the first game by six runs.

Batting first, Pakistan put up a fighting total of 299 runs and then restricted the visitors to a score of 293 in 50 overs to claim victory.

The second game of the series is scheduled for November 14, however, following a terrorist attack in Islamabad, doubts were raised about whether the series would continue. The ODI series will be followed by a Tri-Nation T20I series, with Zimbabwe joining the two Asian Nations in Pakistan.

Following the gruesome attack, Sri Lankan team had expressed concern over the security of the player as they had even planned to cancel the remaining tour and return to their country, according to multiple reports.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has assured that it will take strict security measures, and the two series will now be contested in Rawalpindi as a centralised venue. A revised fixture was released on Thursday, November 13.
