Kettering Tennis Club also contributed about £7,500 towards the work.

Christopher Todd, chair of the club, said: “We can now offer a higher quality tennis experience that will serve our community for years to come.

“This is more than just an investment in courts, it’s an investment in community health, connection and the next generation of players.”

FCC Communities Foundation grant manager Cheryl Raynor said: “”[We are] always happy to consider grant applications for projects that make a meaningful difference, and we’re thrilled to see this one come to life.”

The upgraded courts are now open to the public and club members, with an official opening event planned for next April 2026 as part of the club’s annual open day.
