Geordie favourite Vicky Pattison, currently strutting her stuff in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing is clearly keeping an eye on developments on a rival channel, having already said she is ‘calling it early’ on who she thinks might emerge as front-runners in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here which starts tonight. The reality TV star and presenter – who, as just reported, has just gone from top of the Strictly leaderboard with partner Kai Widdrington to joint last, leaving fans fearing for this weekend’s outcome – has shared her views on social media concerning the show she herself won a decade ago.
Vicky referenced her experience on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity in an Instagram post. She was on the line-up in 2015 and went on to be crowned Queen of the Jungle by hosts and fellow Geordies Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
Her recent post followed the reveal of the 2025 series line-up for the ITV reality show which starts this November 16. Contestants include model Kelly Brook; former England Lionesses footballer Alex Scott; TV personality Jack Osbourne; comedian Ruby Wax; rapper Aitch – real name Harrison Armstrong; social media star Morgan Burtwistle, who is known as Angryginge; EastEnders’ Shona McCarty, comedian Eddie Kadi; Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp.
The former Geordie Shore name began her post: “10 years ago…” and added a string of emojis as she shared pictures from her time Down Under, reports Manchester Evening News. She wrote: “As a new series of @imacelebrity kicks off I just wanted to take a moment to reflect and remember this amazing experience.
“This show put me on an entirely different trajectory and I’ll be eternally grateful for that.” She went on to say that “more than that” it was the “most amazing” three weeks of her life, adding “I loved it!”; singling out her “gorgeous camp mates”; Ant and Dec; camp fire cooking and saying she “even loved the trials”.
But she singled out this year’s contestants Alex Scott and Kelly Brook as ones to watch this year.
She went on to say: “Good luck to this year’s camp mates … I’m calling it early and saying my gorgeous girlies @alexscott2 and @iamkb are going to be AMAZING!! Having trekked through the Arctic with Al I know, she is one tough cookie, a SERIOUS team player and good crack! And my Kelly is beautiful inside and out and strong too!”
Vicky will be seen back on TV tonight in Strictly as the BBC1 dance contest builds up to the annual Blackpool special on November 22. Having delivered a stand-out performance last weekend, with a tango to Taylor Swift’s Fate of Ophelia with professional dancer Kai scoring 39 points, the couple managed just 27 points on Saturday with a jive to Girls Aloud’s Sound of the Underground, so fans no doubt will be fingers crossed for the results show at 8.15pm.
