O’Neil was among those who held face-to-face talks with the City hierarchy in London last week, but isn’t thought to be part of the final stages of the process with Norwich understood to be closing in on making an appointment.

Among the frontrunners is former Sweden and Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson, although two other unknown coaches are thought to still be in the running as Norwich work to hire a new boss ahead of Saturday’s trip to Birmingham.

With O’Neil out of the running, would you be happy for Tomasson to take over or would you be willing to gamble on one of the currently unknown candidates in City’s search?

Beyond the obvious of winning games, what is the most pressing issue for City’s boss to get their teeth stuck into upon arriving at Colney? Are you glad that majority shareholder Mark Attanasio has played a more significant role in the hiring of the new head coach?

Are you disappointed about the news of O’Neil or have concerns about Ben Knapper leading the process to find Liam Manning’s successor? Maybe you’re pleased with the pace of the search and are hopeful in the names currently being discussed.

Put your burning questions to chief Norwich City reporter Connor Southwell during our weekly Q&A from 1pm this lunchtime. This is your debate, not ours. You set the agenda.
