Hull KR have announced their seventh signing for the 2026 campaign, as they look to continue the success they achieved in 2025.

Willie Peters has brought in Tom Amone (Canterbury Bulldogs) and Jordan Dezaria (Catalans Dragons) to add depth and experience to the squad, however their main focus for next year has been on younger players that they can develop and become regular first team players.

Cobie Wainhouse and Jack Charles have both come in from Hull FC, whilst Salford’s Declan Murphy and Oldham’s Jumah Sambou make up the rest of the recruits.

Now, they have announced another new addition, and another that fits the mould of a younger player with potential.

Following his release from Warrington Wolves, Tom Whitehead joins the treble-winners on a three-year deal, and will add further competition to the Robins pack.

The 23-year-old has made 15 appearances for both the Wolves and whilst on loan at Salford Red Devils. Over the past three years, he has been on loan to eight different clubs in the lower divisions, and had spells at London Broncos, Halifax Panthers and Oldham in 2025.

Hull KR recruit ready for next step in career following signing

Speaking on the move, which will see him join Craven Park until the end of 2028, he said: I’m delighted. When the opportunity came about, I saw the squad and what the club is doing.

“When I spoke to Willie and it got me really excited about what I could bring to the squad going forward.”

Commenting on why he thinks KR is the club for him, he added: “I’m at a point in my career where I want to keep developing and add value on the pitch.

“With the side winning the treble last year, they don’t look like slowing down at all. It’s a really exciting time to be a Robin.

I’m looking forward to picking the pack’s brains to make sure I’m doing my job right and just be a sponge. The more I can learn from them the better. I just can’t wait to get started.”

Head coach, Peters, said: “Tom is a young back-rower with plenty of potential, and we’re delighted to have him at the club.

We’re looking forward to seeing him develop and strive to become a Super League player at Hull KR.”
