West Ham United saw a number of their first-team players out on international duty, including Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping that none of his players have picked up any injuries or knocks ahead of a busy run of fixtures.

West Ham United take on Bournemouth next in the Premier League on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium, so the Portuguese will want all his senior internationals back in optimum condition.

Hammers News takes a look at how the first-team stars fared for their respective countries:

Jarrod Bowen – 6

Jarrod Bowen was an unused substitute in England’s first game against Serbia, but started in the 2-0 win over Albania.

Bowen was deployed on the right for England, with Thomas Tuchel giving him 75 minutes to prove his mettle.

The Hammers captain impressed both with and without the ball and certainly gave the Three Lions coach something to think about ahead of the World Cup in June.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka played the full 120 minutes against Nigeria as he watched his DR Congo side win the African qualifying play-offs.

Wan-Bissaka’s side came back from a goal down to make it 1-1 and they won the penalty shootout to give themselves a very good chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

The right-back also played 90 minutes in the semi-final against Cameroon, which Congo won by a 1-0 scoreline.

Brazil beat Senegal 2-0 on 15 November and Lucas Paqueta had to be content with a spot on the bench for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The Italian did bring the 28-year-old on in the 83rd minute, giving him time to complete five passes.

He made seven touches in the 11 minutes he was on the pitch, but failed to have any noteworthy contributions in the game.

Only Mark Noble (8), Frank Lampard (7), Manuel Lanzini (6), and Paolo Di Canio (6) have scored more Premier League goals from outside the box for West Ham than Lucas Paquetá (5).

El Hadji Malick Diouf – 5

El Hadji Malick Diouf was on the Senegal bench for that game and got a few more minutes than his West Ham teammate.

He came on in the 76th minute to play at left-back, replacing Ismail Jakobs.

The 20-year-old looked comfortable in possession but was powerless to stop his side from losing to Brazil.

Tomas Soucek enjoyed an exceptional international break, scoring in both games.

His 40th-minute strike against San Marino proved to be the only goal of what was a dull 90 minutes of football.

However, the Czech Republic side turned up the heat in their following game, beating Gibraltar 6-0.

Soucek found the back of the net in the 44th minute and put in a solid performance for the 68 minutes he was on the pitch.

Callum Marshall – 4

Callum Marshall was an unused substitute as Northern Ireland lost 1-0 to Slovakia.

The 20-year-old was once again a substitute in the 1-0 win over Luxembourg, but was brought on in the 67th minute.

He struggled to get involved and could only complete three passes until the final whistle.

Mads Hermansen – N/A

Mads Hermansen was an unused substitute as Denmark played out a 2-2 draw against Belarus.

It remains to be seen if head coach Brian Riemer hands him a start against Scotland at Hampden Park on 18 November.

Much like Hermansen, Andy Irving was also an unused substitute as Scotland lost 3-2 to Greece.

The 25-year-old will be hoping for some minutes against Denmark later on Tuesday.
