Update, Tuesday Nov. 18: This article has been updated with details on the Pixel 9a Black Friday deal:

Google’s Pixel 10 Pro

Ahead of the Black Friday rush, Google is preparing its latest offer for US customers. There’s certainly a lot of value for money to be found for those looking to pick up a Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pixel 10 Pro Fold during the commerce-driven week, but there’s a lack of special in the latest offer.
The Pixel 10 Pro Black Friday Discounts
Google is offering discounts of up to $300 across the Pixel 10 family. The flagship Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will receive $300 off the list price, the Pixel 10 will receive $200 off, and the Pixel 9a $100. This echoes Black Friday offers around the world; for example, Google’s UK Store is offering Pixel discounts up to £200 ($263) on the other side of the Atlantic.
What many will take note of is that the currently announced Black Friday discounts are the same discounts offered for the Pixel 10 range during October.
The Pixel 10 Pro And Gemini AI
Neither are there any additional offers in terms of Google’s AI features. A twelve-month subscription to Google AI Pro is bundled with each new Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold. Pixel 10 customers receive six months. The Google AI Pro service not only provides access to Google’s more powerful AI models but also offers additional online storage, Gemini features in Google Docs and Google Sheets, Google Home premium features, and Fitbit Premium services.
Ensuring that mobile AI features, in general, and Gemini, more specifically, are embedded in daily life will go a long way toward establishing Google’s implementation of AI in Android as the dominant method of delivering AI. It is in proximity to other Android manufacturing partners, but it employs a more cloud-based approach than its rival, Apple.
Getting AI into as many users’ workflows as possible is key, so the inclusion of Google AI Pro is vital for Google. There’s value for customers too, but they will still need to be drawn into the more proactive AI features of the handsets.
The Value Hiding In The Pixel 9a Black Friday Offer
Update, Tuesday Nov. 18, 2025:
Perhaps the most advantageous Black Friday offer from Google will be that of the Pixel 9a.
The 9a is Google’s mid-range smartphone, designed to take on the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy A family, OnePlus’ Nord range, and the entry-level iPhone SE and iPhone 17e. It uses the same top-of-the-line Tensor Mobile chipset as the Pixel 9 range, offers similar camera hardware to the far more expensive Pixel 9 Pro Fold and supports the same Gemini AI functions as its larger brethren.
Normally, the Pixel 9a lists at $499 on Google’s US store, but for Black Friday, consumers can pick it up for $399 for the 128 GB storage model.
While the likes of the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will take the glory and the lion’s share of the headlines, it’s the Pixel 9a that has more power to shape the industry, as I talked about in October:
“When I think of the AI features I want to see on a smartphone, it’s clear that the Pixel 9a offers the experience you would expect. You have Google’s widely advertised Magic Eraser to remove unwanted objects, pets, and people from a photograph; you have Best Take, which lets you pick the best facial expression for multiple pictures from the same moment; and you have Add Me, which composites two pictures so the person taking the photo can add themselves in.”
Black Friday’s Pixel 9a deal may match similar offers through the years, but Google will be keen to push the 9a and bring more consumers into he arms of its view of mobile AI.

Google is meeting Black Friday expectations with these Pixel deals. Anyone who has waited until now will be pleasantly surprised to find discounts that can add up to nearly $800. By keeping the deal at a similar level to October, Google is also ensuring that it will not leave a bad taste in the mouth of anyone who took up a similar deal in October.
Black Friday is one week in the year, and while there will be an emphasis on what can be offered during this short time, Google appears to be taking a pragmatic approach. While there may be a surprise in store on November 20th when the deals go live, these deals are designed to run for many more Fridays than just Black Friday.
