67 Hail Hail has the latest Celtic transfer news this Friday morning, including updates on Daizen Maeda, Luis Palma and Mateusz Bogusz.
Poll: Which position do Celtic need to strengthen in the 2026 January transfer window? Daizen Maeda departure will depend on major factor
It feels like a matter of when, not if, Daizen Maeda will leave Celtic.
After having a transfer request blocked in the summer, reports have revealed that Maeda could leave in the January transfer window.
Replacements for the Japan international will be hard to find, especially while the search for a new manager also rumbles on.
In the latest update on the situation, Fabrizio Romano said Maeda’s exit would depend on the manager situation, meaning that the right appointment could convince the forward to stick around for a little longer.
Luis Palma could’ve joined Legia Warsaw at the start of 2025
It’s great to see Luis Palma thriving out in Poland with Lech Poznan.
Palma has been playing in a new role and rediscovered his best form, with 10 goal contributions in all competitions.
Poznan are reluctant to break their transfer record for Palma, but may have more incentive to do so after hearing that the 25-year-old could’ve been playing for a rival.
Reports in Poland said that Legia Warsaw tried to sign Palma in January 2025 but were knocked back due to the finances in the deal.
Mateusz Bogusz set for another move
After being snubbed by Celtic in the summer 2024 transfer window, Mateusz Bogusz decided to leave LAFC for Cruz Azul at the start of the year.
That move hasn’t quite worked out as expected, and reports from the USA are suggesting a return to the MLS could be on the cards for Bogusz.
🇵🇱 Sources: Mateusz Bogusz is likely to leave Cruz Azul this winter, with several MLS clubs interested.
New England Revolution hold Bogusz’s discovery rights (priority to negotiate).

The 24-year-old was a target for the Hoops before they opted for other options and chose to sign Arne Engels and Luke McCowan instead.
