Titan Training in Ulverston is launching a series of sessions for people aged 65 and over as part of the Live Longer Better in Cumbria programme, which supports older adults—including those with long-term health conditions—in becoming more active.
Active Cumbria is delivering the national programme across the county, with Titan Training receiving money from The Reconditioning Fund.
Boxing classes will give OAPs (Old Age Punchers) a new opportunity to build strength, confidence, and social connections.
The classes are free to attend and aim to improve strength, balance, and overall wellbeing in a fun and supportive environment.
A spokesman for Titan Training said: “We are delighted to receive funding for this new initiative and to support this age group in becoming more active, which is incredibly important for their overall wellbeing.”
Two sessions a week will be held at The Red Rose on Victoria Road in Ulverston and will run from January 6 to February 26, 2026.
Classes will take place every Tuesday and Thursday between 11am and 11.45am, with space limited to 10 participants per session.
Titan Training was founded by personal trainer Jason Moore during the Covid-19 lockdown.
