Cruz Beckham has revealed he suffered a gruesome injury as he continues to promote his music career.

David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son shared a photo of his bandaged pinky finger on his Instagram Stories on Sunday. The snap shows the bloodied finger wrapped in a white dressing.

While Cruz, 20, didn’t explain how he suffered the injury, he simply added a peace sign emoji over the image. It comes as the young singer continues launching his music career – and just days ago, he shared a video in which his mum Victoria sang a Spice Girls hit, Mamma, while he played the guitar.

The performance led many to speculate whether Victoria has since changed her mind on wanting to resume her role as Posh Spice in a possible reunion. Sat crossed legged on her sprawling sofa with a blanket over her legs to stave off the winter chill, the 51-year-old designer belted out the pop classic. Meanwhile, Cruz accompanied her vocals by playing the guitar.

It seemed to be a touching moment shared by the two of them, and fans didn’t waste time to share their reactions in the comment section of the Instagram post. One person wrote: “I love this so much. See, Posh CAN sing.”

Another said: “This is such a beautiful and sweet memory to share.” A third wrote: “Practising for the tour mama.” One more added: “Seeing Victoria singing her greatest song again is EVERYTHING.”

This comes after she reportedly declared “absolutely not” when asked if she would consider reuniting with her former girl band. She added: “I’m not going to be touring.” She went on to explain to the online publication BritBrief: “People always ask me about a Spice Girls reunion, but I’m so focused on the business and my family.”

Earlier this month, Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel couldn’t hold back tears as she watched him perform live on stage. The 29-year-old songwriter was visibly emotional as her boyfriend sang tracks from his upcoming album during a recent gig.

In a clip shared to Instagram, Jackie was seen offstage filming proudly while wiping her eyes as Cruz performed. After the show, the aspiring musician thanked fans, saying: “That was a fun one, thanks for coming. There’s going to be more soon – more music and more gigs.”

Cruz, who has been working hard to carve out his own path in music away from his famous parents, has made quite a statement with his latest releases. However, his debut singles, Optics and Lick The Toad, have raised eyebrows among fans over their explicit nature – with themes of “drugs and sex”.

In Optics, Cruz sings: “Take a thousand selfies in your bed while I trip in mine / I love me some mushrooms and good head and an erotic 69.” The chorus adds: “Stay high fashion, no comedown, no crashing but you wanna know how it looks, I wanna know how it feels.”

His second track, Lick The Toad, continues the edgy theme, with Cruz singing: “Let me take a lick of you mother nature, imma take a lick. Let me take a hit of you mother nature, imma take a hit.”

Despite being the son of global icons, Cruz is determined to prove his talent on his own terms. He has been performing across various small venues and enlisted The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard to help shape his album. Tracks include Waste Your Pain, John Lennon, Tie Don’t Fit, For Your Love and Yeah Yeah Yeah.
