The iPhone 16e is the cheapest of the current family of iPhone models
The iPhone 16e is the cheapest current iPhone model, and that makes it attractive to shoppers looking for a new Apple phone, while staying current. It comes with the advantage of Apple Intelligence and a premium design on top of great value.
Normally priced at £599, it’s discounted to £509 on Amazon (currently the lowest price it’s been), but there are a range of great deals on this handset for those shopping for a monthly plan.
The cheapest of the lot is Sky Mobile, offering this phone from 63p a day, thanks to the flexibility that Sky offers on its data plans. I’ve compared to rivals from the likes of Mobiles.co.uk, GiffGaff and Three – and I’ll explain exactly how much it costs and what shoppers get for the money.

The Sky Mobile deal works because there’s a low price on the handset at £17 a month, with a low upfront cost of £12. This is on a 36-month payment plan for the handset, so shoppers need to be aware that they’ll have the iPhone 16e for 3 years.
Then Sky offers a range of data plans, and these start at £0. That’s right, it’s possible to get a free plan, but it only has 100MB of data, so I’m ignoring that.
The 1GB plan is available for £2 a month, one of the cheapest available in the UK. That makes for an iPhone 16e deal that’s difficult to beat at 63p a day.
iPhone 16e on Sky Mobile

From £17 a month
Sky Mobile
Sky Mobile has the cheapest way to buy the iPhone 16e, particularly for those who don’t need a lot of data.
But, even if shoppers opt for the 10GB plan at £8 a month (a total of £25 a month), it’s still amongst the cheapest iPhone 16e deals out there. Note that Sky’s data plans run for 12 months – so there’s no guarantee that the price will remain for the full duration that you have the handset for.
But before diving into the Sky deal, it’s worth checking out what’s elsewhere. The closest in price is giffgaff, offering the iPhone 16e with 25GB data for £24.70, so it’s a great way to get more data. The thing about giffgaff’s data is that it starts at 10GB, so that’s the cheapest it offers, while Sky Mobile offers those lower data tariffs.
Best iPhone 16e deal for data
Shoppers looking for more data might want to avoid Sky Mobile, where the unlimited data plan would come in at £37 a month. In this case, stick to GiffGaff, where there’s a discount on unlimited data.
That sees the iPhone 16e with unlimited data for £29.70 a month – however, this Black Friday deal expires on 4 December 2025, so don’t delay signing up.
Giffgaff’s handset plan is 36 months, but the data plan is 18 months, although giffgaff allows customers to change their data plan whenever they want.
Alternatively, there’s big data available elsewhere. Mobiles.co.uk is offering a Black Friday deal that gives shoppers 5x the data – so 500GB on iD Mobile. That’s a huge amount of data, available for £36.99 a month, on a 24-month contract.
Best iPhone 16e deal for extras
Shoppers looking for a little more from their network might consider this Black Friday deal from Three. The advantage of going for Three is the extras that come with it – namely the Three+ Rewards, which include offers from brands like Cineworld, Uber Eats and more – as well as £1 coffee from 100s of cafés, like Café Nero.
Three is a little more expensive, offering the iPhone 16e for £26.67 a month with 15GB data on a 24-month plan. There’s a little less data than some of the other networks, but the Three+ Rewards might save shoppers money elsewhere.
With all these plans, make sure to check that the level of data matches the actual need, because it’s the data that’s expensive. Also, be prepared for price increases during the term of the contract – all the figures mentioned here are what shoppers will pay in the first year.
