The Dutch flexed their muscles on day three of the tournament, bowling Tanzania out for just 62 and powering past the target in quick time for a second consecutive victory and a net run rate boost.
Quick Iris Zwilling tormented the Tanzanian top order with early wickets of Saum Mtae and the dangerous Katuma Kibasu, before returning to remove Perice Kamunya in the 17th over to deny any death-over exploits.
It was Silver Siegers to keep the Dutch in control in the middle overs, claiming 2/13 from her four overs, before the likes of Hannah Landheer and Frederique Overdijk cleaned up the tail with two wickets apiece.
The Dutch did not stumble in their response, with Sterre Kalis’ 24 taking the sting out of Tanzania’s bowling effort. Robine Rijke (13 not out) and Frederique Overdijk (16 not out) closed out the chase inside 13 overs.
