Rejoice, Hollyoaks fans! Theresa McQueen is set to return to the Channel 4 soap following the shocking late-night twist.
The beloved character left the village last year after Jorgie Porter bid her goodbyes to the cast and crew to head on maternity leave.
She returned briefly during the recent late night special. Now, however, Hollyoaks has confirmed that Theresa will soon be back properly after the soap’s explosive diamonds storyline culminated in a huge twist.
Warren Fox’s return to the show saw him targeted by Connor “Sully” Sullivan and Griff Farnedge, who demanded a large sum of money, going as far as shooting Warren’s girlfriend Gemma Johnson as a threat.
He promised to get them the money and collected some valuable diamonds from Theresa, who had illegally smuggled them into the country.

It later transpired that Gemma had been working with Sully and Griff all along, setting up the robbery and stabbing Warren in the back in the process.
In a further twist, it was then revealed that Theresa had, in fact, given Warren fake diamonds and kept the real gems for herself.
Upcoming scenes will see Theresa make herself at home in the village once more, leaving Goldie McQueen shocked to discover her there.
Theresa fills Goldie in on how she was conned out of her diamonds and is avoiding Warren at all costs, but that she missed home greatly and wants to be around her family.
Goldie insists that Theresa will have her family’s support, and soon after, Theresa embarks on a second reunion as she heads to find her ex, Dodger Savage. How will this reunion unfold?

Jorgie previously opened up on her return to the show and teased what fans can expect, saying: “We’ve filmed Christmas, which is one of those McQueen family days, where it all ends up a bit chaotic!
“I’m sure that not everyone’s Christmas goes to plan, but I can definitely say ours is not a planned event. They’re all in a disastrous place in their own little heads…”
Speaking about fans’ reaction to her coming back, she continued: “It’s a shock. I’m so lucky that the fans really love Theresa, because she just leaves and comes back!
“When we did the set tours recently, loads of people came in – they were all really nice and excited to see me, and asked me questions about the diamonds and how long I’m staying. The feedback of actual face-to-face fans and online, it’s just brilliant to hear and see it!”
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
