American Pie star Tara Reid was rushed to hospital after she claims she had her “drink tampered with” in a hotel.
Paramedics took Tara, who played Kevin Myers’ girlfriend Vicky Lathum in the coming-of-age films, on a stretcher out of the lobby and into an ambulance on Sunday, it is said. The nature and extent of Tara’s condition have not yet been disclosed to reporters.
A representative for the performer said: “Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation. Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time. She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”
But it is understood Tara, 50, is yet to make a police report. Witnesses in Chicago, Illnois, said the actor, who became a sex symbol following the popularity of the first American Pie released in 1999, looked visibly dazed when she was being taken into the ambulance.

It is alleged one of the paramedics told Tara: “We’re going to take you to your room, okay?” During the exchange, Tara is believed to have said: “You don’t know who I am. I am famous. I’m an actress.”
It is reported Tara fell unconscious during the episode, and remembers little about what happened. She said in a press interview on Monday: “I’m just glad that I was in a public place, you know what I mean? Like, and there was security there to help me, cause I mean, if this happened at… not a public place, I mean you could get raped.”
The star rose to fame with her role in the American Pie films, the first of which was released when she was just 23. Speaking about these days in an interview last year, the Urgan Legend star said she has faced trolls since the success of the comedies.
Tara said: “Everyone says, ‘She got so old looking, she looks bad, she looks like sh*t.’ And just this sh*t that goes on social media.” The admission, which happened on a podcast, happened after Tara raised worry over health when posted a snap of herself at the Vegan Fashion Show. Alongside the snap she wrote: “Has the most amazing time @veganfashionweek thanks so much for having me again in your front row, so happy to see my friend @derekwarburton.”
But it was her puffy face that prompted her fans to question her health. One person said: “She looks sick.” Another person added: “She doesn’t even resemble the girl we used to know.”
