The powerful forward found it hard to break into Bulls’ team last season, spending time out on loan at the likes of Batley and Salford.
And while Waine had a deal with Bradford until the end of next year, this move to Greater Manchester appears to be one which suits both clubs, as well as the player himself.
Bulls CEO Jason Hirst said: “Having been signed ahead of the 2025 season by our then head coach Brian Noble, Emmanuel has, unfortunately, subsequently found first-team playing opportunities difficult to come by.
“As such, we have mutually agreed to release him from the final year of his contract in order to take up a playing opportunity elsewhere.
“We will continue to support him with his transition to his new club, with everyone at Bradford Bulls hoping and expecting it will result in more regular first-team action for him.
“Both personally and on behalf of our club, I would like to thank Emmanuel for his contribution to the Bradford Bulls in 2025 and I wish him, his wife and young family all the very best both on and off the field of play, in 2026 and beyond.
“It’s been a pleasure to meet and get to know him over these last 12 months.”
