Now that we’ve broken the ice with that massive offer from Zwift, let’s have a quick chat about what was trending yesterday here in the UK and some of the highlighted deals from our experts that seemed to catch many of your interests.

Winter Cycling Gloves – This is a no-brainer at this time of year, but I imagine it’s mainly due to the cold snap we’ve experienced here in the UK over the past week or so. We have already highlighted two excellent deals this week. The first was the 100% Brisker offer at Tredz, which sees them at an incredibly low price of £21. Our excellent news and features writer, Meg, also discovered this 25% discount on Altura adaptable mittens with Decathlon.

Garmin – It’s the season for a Garmin discount, after all, and there are many to discuss. As is tradition, the best Garmin bike computers headline the list, with the Edge 540 and Edge 1040 being the ones to check out, as they are among the lowest prices we’ve seen.

Bikes – It wouldn’t be Black Friday without some bike deals, and there are plenty of exciting ones. However, the highlights for us include this specialised Atheos deal at Balfes, this cracking offer on our favourite e-bike of 2025, the Whyte RHeO with Leisure Lakes. Lastly, there are massive discounts across Ribble’s range of All-Road bikes.

I’ll start with a few facts about Black Friday for you. The origins of Black Friday aren’t too different from how things look today, with our cost-of-living crisis here in the UK and the US Government shutdown, hence the ‘Black’. The term was first used during the financial crisis of 1869, on the day the US gold market collapsed. However, it wasn’t until the 1970s that the shopping event we’re most familiar with was actually popularised.

Now, I’ve had my pair of Hunt carbon wheels for a couple of years now – I think I have the 40s, but don’t quote me. They’re 35% off already in the UK, £571.35 down from £879 BUT you can get an extra 10% off too.

Still with Jenson in the USA for a moment. I can vouch for this product because I’m wearing one. The excellent, and in fact, pretty unbeatable Garmin Fenix 8 is on sale at Jensons USA for 21% off. I’ve tested the Coros and Suunto equivalents recently and I prefer this one.

Heart rate is as good as a strap. It does everything you want it to and loads more.

Jenson in the USA have a gorgeous Cannondale Super Six Hi-Mod with Ultegra Di2. Unusually, for a sale bike, they have them in stock in 48, 54, 56, 58 and 61. It’s down from $9,999 to $6,999.

Do you run TPU tubes? Have you tried it? Black Friday is a good time to experiment.

They’re so much better than the old style butyl rubbish, and if you’re fed up with tubeless faff, and fancy giving them a go, pop a few in your basket whilst they’re around half price.

Hang on, this one is a bit of a laugh, but we’ve got to keep sane haven’t we. I was just doing one more lap of Amazon, and a Drift Trike flagged up.

There is a tenuous link to road cycling here, not just because trikes are in the same family, but because I raced a drift trike down Col D’Izoard once on my road bike, so I think this counts.

OOO, hang on. If you missed the Kickr Core deal, you might be pleased to see this one is still running, on the Tacx Neo 2T which we reviewed recently.

I’ve got one of these, and love it. I was testing the Muov Tilt Bike all summer, so thought I’d be missing that terribly when I went back to this Tacx fixed unit, but it’s a doddle to use; it’s nice to be back on my actual bike, with great pedalling sensations; and as a premium end fixed turbo, it’s pretty unbeatable at the discount price.

It’s not as cheap as the Wahoo Core, even with the big discount, but it’s a much more sophisticated unit. It’s on sale now at 18% off. Which on an item that needs this much outlay, that is not a discount to be sniffed at.

I know I sound like a salesman on the microphone at the Meat Van on the Saturday market place, but at this price, they ain’t going to hang around luv.

I found a bike you definitely don’t need (unless you live on a Tundra) on a massive discount, a Trek Farley, on sale now for $1700.01 off . It’s just one of a ton of clear down bikes in the Black Friday clear out on Trek’s US site. If you do want to know some prices, this one is down from $3999.99 to $2299.99.

Whilst this specific bike is a little bit out there, they’ve got some similarly FAT discounts on really much smarter buys like Madone and Domane, including the AL4 we tested and loved earlier this year, and plenty of other more ‘Cycling Weekly friendly’ road models. With anything from 10-30% off.
