Ayush Mhatre’s 53-ball 110*, his first T20 hundred, helped Mumbai chase Vidarbha’s 192/9 with 2.1 overs to spare. Even though Ajinkya Rahane got out on nought in the second over, Mhatre stitched a 88-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav for the third wicket and a 85-run partnership with Shivam Dube for the fourth. Mhatre hit 8 fours and 8 sixes in total, making light work of Vidarbha’s total that came on the back of a 115-run opening stand between Atharva Taide and Aman Mokhade. Shivam Dube and Sairaj Patil combined to pick six wickets and keep any late surge in Vidarbha’s total in check.
