The newest episode of Gogglebox saw our favourite families tuning in to series like Strictly Come Dancing, Malice and much more.
However, some Channel 4 viewers weren’t impressed with the show selection this week, with one claiming it was “ridiculous” for the show to include spoilers for “the most anticipated series of the year”.
The complaints on social media were sparked by the inclusion of Stranger Things Season 5: Part 1, which landed on Netflix yesterday.
Stranger Things fans have been waiting three years for the fifth and final season of the popular sci-fi show to come out, and many have not yet had a chance to watch the first four episodes.

The first episode drop happened on November 27, while the remaining episodes will land in the UK on Boxing Day and New Year ’s Day.
Taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, fans expressed their frustration at having to switch channels to avoid spoilers on Gogglebox.
One asked: “Did Gogglebox really need to ruin Stranger Things by putting it on 2 days after it’s aired…?”
Another fumed: “I know it does spoilers but showing stranger things one of the most anticipated series of the year the day after it’s come out is ridiculous!
“I can’t be the only one that’s had to turn over. #Gogglebox.”

Another viewer admitted they would be skipping that segment entirely, tweeting: “Gogglebox is always spoiler-heavy, so I’ll avoid the Stranger Things section.”
Meanwhile, the Gogglebox households were left on the edge of their seats and even screaming as they watched the events of Stranger Things season 5 unfold.
Without giving away any spoilers, the clips included a tense chase scene that packed a very emotional punch, which left fans of the show gasping.
After watching the episode, Jenny remarked that it was “no wonder the kids can’t get to sleep”, while Pete quipped: “I just like how realistic it all is.”
Stranger Things first aired back in 2016, with a description from IMDb reading: “In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits.
“As they search for answers, the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries.”
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
