Peter Andre has revealed the conversations he’s had with his older children Princess and Junior Andre about keeping themselves safe on nights out. Dad Peter, 52, wrote in his new! magazine column this week, where he shared his shock after Tara Reid was hospitalised after her drink was allegedly tampered with.
American Pie star Tara, 50, claimed she was drugged and left unconscious in the early hours of Sunday morning after her drink was ‘tampered with’ at a Chicago hotel bar. She was taken to hospital by paramedics and has since filed a police report.
Reacting to the shock news, Peter said: “It’s so scary to hear American Pie star Tara Reid was taken to hospital after her drink was allegedly tampered with. It’s unbelievable that this is still happening.” Peter, who is dad to Junior, 20, Princess, 18, Amelia, 11, Theo, nine, and Arabella, one, revealed he has spoken with his older children to share safety advice.

He explained: “I’ve had many conversations with my older children about covering drinks and not leaving them unattended, as horrendous things like this can happen. I really hope Tara is OK.”
It comes after video footage of Tara after the alleged drugging showed the Scrubs actress, with security tending to her and placing her in a wheelchair before paramedics stepped in and later placed her on as stretcher to wheel her out of the hotel. Tara’s representative confirmed she had filed a police report.
A representative for the star said: “Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation. Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time. She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”
In a statement, the Rosemont Public Safety Department said: “Shortly after 2:15pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the Rosemont Public Safety Department spoke with Ms. Reid who was looking to file a police report. Due to the extent of the allegations being made, an online report was submitted to fully document the incident and properly detail what is known at this time. At 4:26pm an online report was received by the Rosemont Detective Division.

“The Rosemont Public Safety Department understands the severity of the allegations being reported and are committed to investigating this incident fully. At this point, we are in communication with the hotel to gather as much video surveillance as possible. As this incident has just been reported and is still open, no further information is available at this time.”
Witnesses in Chicago, Illnois, said the actor, who became a sex symbol following the popularity of the first American Pie released in 1999, looked visibly dazed when she was being taken into the ambulance. It is alleged one of the paramedics told Tara: “We’re going to take you to your room, okay?” During the exchange, Tara is believed to have said: “You don’t know who I am. I am famous. I’m an actress.”
It is reported Tara fell unconscious during the episode, and remembers little about what happened. She said in a press interview on Monday: “I’m just glad that I was in a public place, you know what I mean? Like, and there was security there to help me, cause I mean, if this happened at… not a public place, I mean you could get raped.”
