Consultations held by a Northern Ireland health trust over the cessation of emergency general surgery (EGS) at a Co Fermanagh hospital were not genuine, Stormont’s Health Committee has been told.
The service has been temporarily suspended at the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) in Co Fermanagh since December 2022.
