Higham, 45, a hooker who excelled at Saints, Leigh and Warrington, is battling stage 4 melanoma.
The event, at Ruskin Sports Village in Dentons Green, will include the rugby league legends game, Christmas markets, and a range of family entertainment.
Former Saints team-mates of Higham’s including Chris Joynt, Sean Long, Mike Bennett and James Roby will be among those who will line up at Ruskin for the Steve Prescott Foundation Team.
The SPF team will take on Micky Higham’s side, which will feature former rugby league players, including ex-Warrington stars Ben Westwood, Stefan Ratchford, Paul Wood and Kevin Penny.

The Christmas family fun day will take place at Ruskin Sports Village on Sunday, December 7, with the match kicking off at 1.30pm.
Martin Blondel, general manager of the Steve Prescott Foundation, said: “The rugby league family comes together when one of our own faces a setback.
“We were all devastated to hear about Micky’s illness.
“He has confronted cancer with the same positive mental attitude that Steve Prescott embodied.
“We are grateful for the pioneering work being done by our beneficiaries at The Christie and know that Micky is in the best possible hands.
“We anticipate another fantastic day, welcoming some of the greatest past players to support the SPF and Micky’s cause.”
Micky said: “I have received phenomenal support from everyone during my fight against melanoma, which has truly inspired me and helped me through difficult times.
“I draw strength from Steve Prescott MBE’s journey and his motto: ‘What the mind believes, the body achieves!’
“This gives me the resilience to take on melanoma.
“I cannot thank everyone enough for their incredible generosity towards my family; it is genuinely heartwarming.
“I’m really looking forward to the Christmas Markets and Legends Game.
“Having participated before, I know it will be a great day, and I want to thank the SPF for supporting my cause.”
The event will feature indoor and outdoor market stalls, a Santa’s Grotto, and activities for all ages.
Entry to the Christmas markets and entertainment is free.
Entry to the legends rugby game costs £5, with kick-off at 2pm on the 3G pitch.
Children under 16 can enter the game for free.
All funds raised will be shared equally between The Steve Prescott Foundation and the Mickey Higham Fund.
