Releasing for PS5 tomorrow alongside the free Spec 3 update, it’s been announced the Power Pack expansion for Gran Turismo 7 will cost $29.99. You get five million credits instantly for purchasing the DLC, and you can get a full overview of the new content in the trailer above.
What we’re looking at here is a new addition to the game’s main menu that adds a “dedicated collection of race events spanning 20 categories and 50 unique race events honouring the history of automobiles and racing”. There’s practice, qualifying, and race stages in each event, and all your opponents on the track will be handled by GT Sophy 3.0.
The Power Pack’s standout feature is its introduction of full race sessions, mirroring the flow of real-world motorsports. Begin by settling into the rhythm of the car and track during practice, then set your benchmark lap in qualifying before diving into the main event. As in authentic racing, every position counts—fight for every spot you can on your way to the finish. And once the race begins, there are no retries. This is pure racing, with no second chances.

The new events span the globe and all makes of cars, and also last up to 24 hours in endurance tests. Based on your performance, you’ll earn Stars in accordance with your final position at the end of each event. These can then be spent on rewards, including six cars. They are:

Porsche 911 Turbo Rally (930)
Toyota AE86 Levin D-Tuned
Toyota Supra GT (JZA80)
Volkswagen Beetle 1966 Desert Racer
The Power Pack launches tomorrow, 4th December, alongside a free Spec 3 update for all PS5 and PS4 players. It’s available to pre-load ahead of release tomorrow, and includes even more new content and feature updates, like two additional tracks.
