The tennis champion, 38, made a surprise appearance at Whole Foods Market’s UK flagship store in Kensington, London, on Thursday.
He was revealed to be inside a Christmas-themed shop window display, recreating a scene from the Walker’s Shortbread Christmas advert.

The sporting legend was announced as the first brand ambassador for Walker’s Shortbread in June.
He was dressed in a Walker’s Shortbread Christmas jumper and a custom kilt designed by Scottish designer Siobhan Mackenzie, who has also created designs for stars including Alan Cumming – as well as the Team Scotland tartan for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Christmas jumper will be auctioned to raise money for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas initiative, which works to help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
After munching on some of the shortbread, Murray then went into the store to meet fans, where he signed some Walker’s Shortbread tins.

Murray said: “I love Christmas, and this was a fun way to spread a bit of light-hearted, festive joy and raise awareness for the Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ initiative.
“I think I made a few people jump when they realised it was actually me in the window but I think they saw the funny side!”
Nicky Walker, Walker’s Shortbread managing director, said: “At Walker’s Shortbread, we are always looking to create immersive experiences that bring the joy of shortbread to life.
“This Christmas event was about bringing festive cheer to consumers through elements of surprise and humour.
“Seeing the delight on people’s faces when Andy appeared is a great reminder of the magic of shared festive moments.”
