A woman who died following a single-vehicle lorry collision has been named by police as Aileen Finch.
The 54-year-old, from the Markethill area of Armagh, passed away from her injuries on Wednesday at Royal Victoria Hospital.
The PSNI said they received a report of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on the Gosford Road, Co Armagh at 10.20am.
A spokesperson for the service said: “Officers and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital, where she remained in a critical condition. However, she has since sadly passed away.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have digital footage which could assist with our investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 353 of 03/12/25.”
A funeral notice confirmed Ms Finch is survived by siblings Rodney, Hazel and Jefferey, in-laws Lorraine, Ronald and Lynda as well as niece and nephews Melissa, Gareth, Chloe, Cherith, Timothy, Kathryn, Lydia and Zoe.
A service of thanksgiving will take place at Markethill Presbyterian Church on Sunday at 2.30pm.
