I’m A Celeb star Martin Kemp, who became the sixth celebrity to be evicted from the ITV reality show on Thursday night, seemed to take a swipe at his former bandmate Tony Hadley as he talked about his jungle stint.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain to talk about getting his jungle marching orders, it seems Martin, 64, just couldn’t help himself – and made a mischievous comment about his former pal Tony Hadley, 65.

As the father-of-two opened up about I’m the jungle, he was discussing the moment he revealed around the campfire that he had once auditioned for James Bond.
He confessed to hosts Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins that he would actually “rather be a Bond villain” and as they discussed all things 007, hinted at who he thought might make a good bad guy in the iconic franchise.
In a cheeky swipe at his old bandmate he said, “Maybe they could get Tony Hadley” before adding to host Adil, smiling mischievously,”You know what I mean!”
Tony and Martin have famously had beef for years, and it came to a head after Spandau Ballet split for good in 2017 after a huge fallout with Tony, who left to pursue a solo career, to the reported upset of the rest of the group.

But their ‘feud’ began after their first split in 1990, amid a bitter court battle over royalties which saw frontman Tony Ârefusing to speak to Martin and his brother Gary for years.
In 2009 the band made up and reunited, to the delight of fans – but it wasn’t to be, as Tony eventually decided he’d had enough and was branching out alone.
Tony, who is gearing up for a Christmas tour, told The Mirror a few years ago that “you could offer me all the tea in China and I wouldn’t get back with them” – adding that the only former bandmate he remains in touch with is saxophonist Steven Norman.
Reflecting on the jungle – where viewers had noticed he was given few trials and seemed to fly ‘under-the-radar’, Martin, whose son, radio DJ Roman came third on the show in 2019, said his favourite element was ‘the other people’.

He said, “Sitting around and talking. I’m not one for making new friends, it’s the first time I’ve done it in years and I’ve loved it. I feel like, coming out now, I’ve done it, done everything I wanted to do, I’ve experienced it and I’ve got some good anecdotes.”
Asked after his elimination by hosts Ant and Dec how he felt about being labelled the ‘camp dad’ by his co-stars he said: “I suppose… I always felt like I was a little bit on the outside, a little bit calmer than everyone else through no other reason than life experience.
“I told them a few stories that kept them busy and they enjoyed.”
Asked for his prediction for the jungle winner, he said quickly it had to be former EastEnders star, Shona McGarty – who has sparked romance rumours down under in flirtatious scenes with Manchester rapper, Aitch.
