Studio Constance opened its doors at Foresters Hall, in Sydney Road, in July this year, but rising costs have led its bosses to a difficult decision.

Connie Brown, who runs the gallery, said: “After much thought and a few teary-eyed discussions, we have made the difficult decision to close our studio space as of December 13.

“While we absolutely adore this space and the creative energy you’ve all brought to it, the reality is that the studio has seen very limited use recently, and the steadily rising costs of keeping the doors open have become unsustainable.

“We want to send a huge thank you to every single person who has visited, created, and supported us over the past year.”

Mrs Brown confirmed she will not return after the Christmas break.

The studio will run until December 13, and move out of the premises by December 20.

Studio Constance ran exhibitions, workshops and children’s activities.
