In a surprise announcement, DC Comics is bringing back one of its most iconic brands with a new slate of titles beginning next year.

What DC brand is making a comeback?

Vertigo, the DC Comics imprint that was founded in 1993, is officially coming back after its initial revival announcement last year. In a new teaser trailer, DC Comics shared some of the first titles that are coming to the imprint, while also teasing its highly anticipated return.

The first four titles coming to DC Vertigo are The Nice House by the Sea by James Tynion IV and artist Álvaro Martínez Bueno, Bleeding Hearts by Deniz Camp and artist Stipan Morian, End of Life by Kyle Starks and artist Steve Pugh, and The Peril of Brutal Dark by Chris Condon and artist Jacob Phillips.

All four titles are set to begin in February 2026, which will kickstart the official return of Vertigo. Check out the teaser trailer about their return below:

Originally founded in 1993 by Karen Berger, DC Vertigo became the imprint that DC Comics would use for some of its more adult content. The brand became best known for some incredibly prolific comics, including The Sandman, Swamp Think, Preacher, Y: The Last Man, Fables, and Hellblazer.

The imprint was discontinued in 2020 amidst a restructuring of sorts for the comic brand. However, in 2024, the company announced that it would be relaunching the brand with Chris Conroy (the editor of DC’s Black Label imprint) acting as its main editor. Now, we know more about what’s to come from the brand, with even more titles planned to launch in 2026.
