Ghetts, the British rapper and actor, will not appear in the second season of Netflix hit Supacell after admitting to killing a man in a hit-and-run car crash.

Ghetts’ casting in Season 2 of Supacell was not confirmed, but Deadline understands that he will play no further role in the drama. Season 2 is currently shooting in the UK.

Ghetts pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving during an Old Bailey court hearing on Monday. He appeared via video link from Pentonville prison.

In the incident on October 18, the Metropolitan Police said Ghetts was driving more than double the 30mph speed limit in London, colliding with Yubin Tamang, 20, as he crossed the road.

The 41-year-old failed to stop his BMW following the crash, but was arrested four hours later at his home address. Tamang died in hospital two days after the collision. Sentencing will take place on February 12.

The storyline for Ghetts’ Supacell character Krazy ended ambiguously in Season 1. The antagonist was apparently shot, but the drama did not explicitly show his death.

Supacell, which follows a group of ordinary people from South London who unexpectedly develop superpowers, has amassed more than 450M views on Netflix since its premiere last year.

Andrew Onwubolu, widely known as Rapman, created the show. He confirmed filming was underway on Season 2 in an Instagram post on October 6, 12 days before Ghetts’ collision.
