Drivers on a stretch of the M1 are facing evening rush hour traffic delays after a major crash. National Highways said lanes 3 and 4 are closed on the northbound section of the motorway between junction 28 (Mansfield) and junction 29 (Chesterfield) due to a “multi-vehicle collision”.
There are currently two miles of traffic on approach, with drivers warned of at least 20-minute delays above normal journey times. Traffic Officers are on scene. There is 2 miles of congestion on approach, causing at least 20 minutes of delays above normal journey time.
