John Cena Final WWE Match Position On Saturday Night’s Main Event Card Revealed

WWE

The position of John Cena’s final WWE match on the Saturday Night’s Main Event card has potentially been revealed.

Given the gravity of John Cena wrapping up his legendary WWE career after 23 years this weekend, many fans will have assumed that the 17-time world champion would be closing the show at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

However, with WWE yet to announce the match order for the Washington D.C. show, a new report has revealed that the company’s current plan is for Cena vs. GUNTHER to open Saturday Night’s Main Event, rather than close it.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said:

“Right now, the Saturday Night’s Main Event show has no runtime. It has a start time but it has no end time. So basically the show can go however long they want, it’s not going to be like when they were on NBC.

“At this moment, the opening match is scheduled to be John Cena versus GUNTHER. John Cena is going to get as much time as he wants.”
