Celebrity Race Across The World’s Tyler West has opened up about the ‘traumatic’ moment he experienced while filming the show and that months on he still thinks about.
Ahead of tonight’s final episode, which will see one of four pairs crowned the winners of the show, Tyler and his partner Molly Rainford have been reflecting on their journey in the show so far.
And when asked which country or place left the biggest impression on them Tyler and Molly both revealed it was their time in Costa Rica that left the most lasting memories, with the pair both going onto call their time there as “traumatic”.

Tyler said: “I still have nightmares about Costa Rica. I can’t, that’s full trauma.” Molly also added: “I think Costa Rica was a bit traumatic, because it felt like we were on I’m a Celeb!”
So why was Costa Rica so traumatic for the pair? Well, around half way through episode four the pair ended up sleeping in a treehouse stay that was quite literally in the middle of a tree.
While Molly seemed a bit more keen for it, Tyler was very against the idea after their host showed them a scorpion they had found in their room prior to their arrival.
Tyler went onto reveal his fear of insects and how difficult it was to sleep surrounded by that many during their stay.
“Now it’s dawned on me that I’m surrounded by a million bugs,” he said. “I mean some people call them irrational fears. ‘They’re more scared of you, than you are of it’. Well of course you’re going to say that because you’re not scared of spiders.”
Thankfully by the next day Tyler seemed to be OK following his night of insect filled sleep.

Tonight will see Tyler and Molly, compete against Roman Kemp and his sister Harley Moon, Anita Rani and her dad Bal, and Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie in the final leg of the race across Central and South America.
The four pairs will race to the final check point at PenÃnsula de La Guajira in Colombia where the winning pair will receive the glory of being crowned this season’s winners.
