Nathan Cleary is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world. The NRL superstar has been at the top of his game on the field for many years, but this week has proven he is as passionate off it too.
Clearly, who’s partner is Manchester City Women’s footballer Mary Fowler, is currently in the UK, as he enjoys a well-earned break in the off-season.
The Penrith Panthers man was once again amongst the game’s elite this year, as he guided his side to an unlikely top four finish, given the way they started the season, and capped it off with three appearances for Australia against England in the Ashes series.
As part of his holiday in the UK, Cleary has been spotted at a local food bank in Wigan, and was seen helping store, pack and give out food to the community.
In an effort that has been applauded by many across the rugby league world, the half-back has shown once again why the rugby league community is one of the best in sport, with even the biggest stars doing their bit to help those in need.

We had an extra volunteer today.
Nathan Cleary, star @PenrithPanthers & @Kangaroos called and put a shift in, packing bags and getting involved.
Thanks for your help today Nathan, you made a real difference and helped people facing hardship to stay well fed.
