Up to 30 sheep were on the loose on a Cornwall road near the A30 this afternoon.
The farmyard animals were spotted on the old A30 in the Henver Lane area of Zelah, a village not far from Truro.
The loose sheep sparked a police response as officers were called to the scene at 12:30pm (December 11) to try and located the owner.
The road was blocked for over thirty minutes before the sheep were removed.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 12.30pm on Thursday 11 December following reports of around 20 to 30 sheep loose on the old A30 in Zelah.
“Officers attended and made enquiries to locate the owner.
“The road was clear by around 1.05pm.”
