Grounded 2 Release Date On Xbox Game Pass
Grounded 2 launches for Xbox Series X|S and PC on July 29th, 2025.
This is the early access release for Grounded 2, with the full 1.0 launch to follow down the line.

Is Grounded 2 Available To Preload On Xbox Game Pass?
No, there is no preload available for Grounded 2. The early access version of the game will go live at the above times; that’s when the full download can be installed.
What’s In The Early Access Version Of Grounded 2?
Being an early access release, Grounded 2 won’t be completely feature rich on its Xbox Game Preview release – but that doesn’t mean it’ll be a barebones experience.
Just like the first Grounded, Obsidian has packed plenty into this initial launch, including lots of new features for the sequel. The biggest is its new ‘buggy’ system that forgoes walking – you’ll be able to ride your own insect friends, head into battle with them and everything in between. This is the big new feature being talked about with Grounded 2 on Xbox Game Preview.
