Kylie Minogue sleighs her way to 11th UK Number 1 album with Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped)

A fitting way to begin the festive fun as the Christmas Number 1 race kicks off today, could it be an indicator of what’s to come next week? With limited edition vinyl and signed CD versions of Kylie’s single XMAS dropping today, all eyes will be on the Aussie pop princess as a key contender in the biggest chart race of the year. 

Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped) also tops the Official Album Vinyl Chart, shifting the most copies on wax over the past seven days, as well as the Official Record Store Chart, crowned the most popular album in UK independent record shops this week.

With the deluxe version of Mercury Prize-winning album People Watching, Geordie giant Sam Fender sees the record jump an impressive 31 places back into the Top 5 (3). 

Dubbed one of the sets of the Glastonbury 2025 weekend, Olivia Rodrigo’s Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) places inside the Top 20 with the release of its physical variants (12).  

Noah Kahan’s former Number 1 Stick Season rebounds back into the Top 20 (19). Depeche Mode see Memento Mori – Mexico City, the live version of their show celebrating the 2023 album Momento Mori, earns the outfit their 22nd Top 40 hit (22). 

It’s a sixth Top 40 album for Rotherham rockers The Reytons with Roll The Dice (27). 

American rap legend 50 Cent finds 2017 hits compilation Best Of 50 Cent on the up (29), following the star’s directorial debut on documentary series, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. 

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Live God, the live version of their 2024 Top 5 project Wild God, lands at Number 33 this week. 

And finally, Radiohead’s OK Computer re-enters the Top 40 as the band embark on the last leg of their reunion tour in Europe this week (40).

The Official Christmas Number 1 race 2024 kicks off Friday December 12 with sales and streams counting up until midnight (11.59pm) on Thursday, December 18.
