The final lineup of PS Plus games for 2025 has been officially revealed, with subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers bagging a total of nine titles across PS5 and PS4.
At a glance, December’s selection is fairly stacked, boasting several games that could be considered headliners.
We may as well start alphabetically, with 2023’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This one’s much more of a traditional Assassin’s Creed experience, emphasising stealth and parkour mechanics over the RPG-based systems of modern instalments.
It’s a little rough around the edges and the gameplay can feel a bit stunted, but it’s worth a look if you’ve got a fondness for series’ roots.
Meanwhile, those who value action over sneaking around should be more than pleased with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
The former is a lethal sort-of-Soulslike from Nioh developer Team Ninja. Generally speaking, it’s much more streamlined than Nioh, but it’s got some seriously cool boss battles, backed by satisfying combat.
Those two points apply to Relink as well — a full-on action RPG from Cygames. You may remember that this adventure was stuck in development for years before it finally launched in February of last year, but we think the wait was definitely worth it. An underrated release.
Elsewhere, LEGO Horizon Adventures combines Aloy’s robot-hunting escapades with the immortal brick-based hobby, and the result is a fun, PlayStation-infused action platformer that caters to all ages.
Speaking of all ages, it’s probably worth pointing out that this month’s selection includes not one, but two PAW Patrol games. Could be an easy win for those of you with younger kids.
And then there’s Premium, which, once again, is giving us just a single classic. This time it’s SoulCalibur 3 — a great PS2 fighter that’ll be well worth revisiting, but we do still find ourselves questioning the value of Premium’s game offerings overall.
