An artist was ‘blown away’ by positive feedback after he painted a stunning mural of Ozzy Osbourne.
Paul Shepherd, from Caerphilly in Wales,, has been a heavy metal fan since he was a teenager and cited Birmingham’s Black Sabbath as a musical influence growing up.
Approached by Lee ‘Kenny’ Kendrick for his record store, Kenny’s Vinyl Vault, Paul was tasked with an Ozzy mural on the high street in Abertillery.

“There are certain jobs you do because it’s a job, but this is something I wanted to do.
“Kenny picked the design of Ozzy and I think it’s because it’s one where it shows off his personality. Everyone knows Ozzy, whether it be just from his television appearances so I did some research into what he was like as a performer.
“I lean towards realism in my work and wanted to make something where it looks like he’s jumping off the wall.
“He’s one of the all-time superstars and up there with someone like Freddie Mercury.
“Kenny was over the moon with it and I’ve had nothing but compliments from people in Abertillery.
“People were excited to see how it would turn out and I’m blown away by the positivity, it’s fantastic.”
