Filming for series two of Rivals, the star-studded adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper’s 1980s novel, began in May and has included multiple visits to Corsham.

In June, Doctor Who star David Tennant was pictured reprising his role as Lord Tony Baddingham, alongside his on-screen wife Claire Rushbrook, as filming took over Corsham town centre.
Cast and crew returned to the town again in October when stars including Alex Hassell, who plays Rupert Campbell Black, Aidan Turner, who plays Declan O’Hara, and Nafessa Williams, who plays Cameron Cook, were all spotted on the High Street.

On both occasions, the High Street and some of its businesses were transformed to resemble a Cotswolds village in the 1980s.
Filming for Rivals remains ongoing and has taken place across large parts of the Cotswolds and the south west.

Disney+ has unveiled first-look character stills ahead of the second series airing in 2026 and has promised a bold storyline with “even more wit, desire, and jaw-dropping twists.”
The second series is expected to feature 12 episodes.
The images are the first released since the death of Dame Jilly Cooper, who sustained a fatal head injury during a fall at her Gloucestershire home in October.
