Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and lawyer Qazi Anwar Advocate resigned from the party, asserting that the present leadership had insulted him.
Anwar said that the manifesto on which the PTI was brought into practice was not being implemented, and that he suffered severe mental distress within the party.
It may be recalled that a few days earlier, Tehsil Sadar of Tehsil Samahni, Kashmir, also announced his departure from the party in the context of statements by PTI leaders against state institutions. He said the institutions were the guardians of the borders and that he could not remain part of a party that spoke against them.
