One Good Morning Britain team member has shared heartfelt words whilst revealing his departure from the ITV breakfast show.

Bernard Kosia, who initially appeared on the programme in 2021 following the tragic death of his best mate Folajimi “Jimi” Olubunmi-Adewole, who perished whilst attempting to rescue a woman from the River Thames, used Instagram to reveal his stint with the GMB crew has concluded.

The ex-Chelsea FC academy player, who served as a studio technician for ITV, expressed that he will “always be grateful for the opportunities” afforded to him via Good Morning Britain in a heartfelt message that prompted supporters to rush to the comments.

He wrote: “Thank you to @itv @gmb for all the love, support, and unforgettable memories we’ve shared during my time there. You lifted me back onto my feet at a moment when I’d lost all hope, and you pushed me to grow in ways I’ll carry with me forever.

“I will always be grateful for the opportunities, the kindness, and the incredible people who shaped this chapter of my life. @gmb will always hold a special place in my heart… End of a beautiful Era.”

Accompanying the moving message was a snap of Bernard alongside Charlotte Hawkins, Susanna Reid, Ed Balls and Laura Tobin in the Good Morning Britain studios, reports the Express.

One supporter commented, “Super proud of you.”

Another penned, “Always puts a smile on my face seeing your achievements. Keep doing you and being amazing.”

Ex-BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker chimed in: “What a lovely post. Good on you, big man.”

A fourth added: “Bernie, it was a pleasure working with you. Always in good spirits, a walking football encyclopaedia, and a good egg through and through. ITV won’t be quite the same without you.”

GMB host Charlotte expressed her sentiments with a simple heart emoji in the comments section.

His departure coincides with that of Andrew Pierce’s. Andrew, a regular panellist on the show, recently announced his exit from the programme via a heartfelt statement on social media after a decade-long stint.

Good Morning Britain broadcasts on weekdays from 6am to 9am on ITV and ITVX.
