Andrew Pierce has declared the “end of an era” following his departure announcement from Good Morning Britain.
The GB News host, who frequently appeared as a panellist on the ITV breakfast show alongside Kevin Maguire, confirmed his exit in a social media post last week.
Addressing rumours surrounding his departure, Andrew made clear: “Not a suggestion. It’s a fact, next week sadly is my last on @gmb, but viewers can tune in to see me presenting on @GBNEWS from 9.30am Monday to Thursday.”
He has now marked his final week on the programme, stating: “Onwards, upwards.”
Andrew posted on X: “End of an era. Last week on @gmb with @susannareid100 as cant do extra spot in extended show from January. But join me on my @GBNEWS show from 9.30am Monday to Thursday. Onwards, upwards.”, reports Wales Online.

Supporters expressed their disappointment, with one commenting: “Such a shame! The banter between you, Kevin, Susanna and Richard is so watchable – a great team! Best wishes.”
Another remarked: “I really enjoyed watching you and Kevin on GMB. You two should have your own show.
“You will be missed Andrew,” a third added.
GMB is amongst the ITV daytime shows facing significant changes next month, with Lorraine being reduced from an hour to just 9.30am to 10am on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks annually.

Meanwhile, GMB will broadcast for three and a half hours, extending to four hours when Lorraine is off-air. Loose Women has similarly been reduced to a 30-week run, matching its pre-2016 schedule.
During a recent GMB episode, Andrew hinted he might be departing the ITV programme whilst chatting with Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley.
Susanna asked whether Andrew and Kevin engage with the public in their daily lives, leading Andrew to jest that people constantly “shout at him” regarding Kevin.
“They all say, ‘Is he as bad in real life as he is on the show?’ I say, ‘Yes, he is actually’,” Andrew remarked.

Susanna then proposed that viewers likely wonder if they’re genuinely mates off-camera despite their heated on-screen rows, having featured on the programme together since its launch a decade ago.
“Not for much longer, sadly,” Andrew revealed.
Andrew, previously editor of The Daily Telegraph and The Times, plus columnist and consulting editor for The Daily Mail, was unveiled as a GB News host in August 2022, and has boasted about remaining with the channel despite major upheavals in recent months.
He declared last year: “Delighted with @beverleyturner to be part of @GBNEWS team which is now beating @SkyNews week in week out. And they said @gbnews wouldn’t last.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
